Patrick Demarchelier es un fotógrafo francés nacido en 1943 y que reside en Nueva York desde 1975. Desde fines de los años 70, sus fotografías han adornado la portada de importantes revistas de moda, incluyendo Vogue en sus ediciones francesa, británica y estadounidense. También ha colaborado con las revistas Rolling Stones, Glamour, Life, Newsweek y Elle.
Fue el fotógrafo oficial de La Princesa Diana de Gales después de fotografiarla por primera vez en 1989. Además, fue el primer fotógrafo extranjero en retratar a la Familia Real Británica.
