Sin Piel 2009 - Without Skin 2009

Antony and The Johnsons

Antony and The Johnsons - Hope There's Someone

Antony and the Johnsons - You Are My Sister

The group was formed by Julia Kent (cello), Todd Cohen (drums), Jeff Langston (bass), Joan Wasser (violin, vocals and percussion), Maxim Moston (violin) and Rob Moose (guitar and violin).

The personality of the group is indisputably linked to that of Antony, whose voice is rarely ties with artists like Nina Simone and Aaron Neville, the Neville Brothers. His music, which further emphasizes the voice of his piano accompaniment, is about to genres such as jazz and soul more intimate. Also, his lyrics are characterized by various aspects of transgender life, as Antony is seen as such. Some of his songs with this theme are My Lady Story For Today or I'm a Boy, in which a child dreams of becoming more able to become a woman.
