David LaChapelle - Grandes fotógrafos - Great photographers

LaChapelle joined the Art Students League and the School of Visual Arts. At that time, it was he himself who appeared before the multimedia artist Andy Warhol at a rock concert. Andy gave him his first job as a photographer for Interview magazine.

The fanciful images of David LaChapelle, bizarre and fantastic, have appeared in the pages and covers of magazines Vogue, Rolling Stone, iD, Vibe, Interview, GQ and The Face, just to name a few.

Their unconditional dedication to originality is a legend within the world of fashion, film and advertising. LaChapelle has been involved in advertising campaigns for a variety of clients that include L'Oreal, Iceberg, MTV, Ecko, Diesel Jeans, Sirius, Ford, Sky Vodka and the Got Milk campaign?.

David has photographed numerous covers of albums for artists of the stature of Macy Gray, Moby, No Doubt, Whitney Houston, Elton John, Madonna and Christina Aguilera.

His first successful book, LaChapelle Land, was published in 1996 by the editorial Collaway, bringing within its extravante wrapper, an explosive collection of portraits of celebrities and models, including Madonna, Leonardo DiCaprio, Pamela Anderson, Uma Thurman, Marilyn Manson, Mark Wahlberg, Drew Barrymore and Elton John. The successor to his debut was the book Hotel LaChapelle, also edited by Collaway in 1999, where he exhibited with unforgettable images fresh colors. Making continues LaChapelle photographs that confront our visual tastes, giving a new look at the landscape today.

Thinking photography as a purely instinctive action is possible thanks to photographer David LaChapelle. This famous actress and makes their artistic creations a transmission channel that excites the emotions. In his works of art we can relive what constitutes us as human beings visceral, passion, exceptional. And the art, reminding Borges, "must be that mirror that reveals our own face."

In addition to the photograph LaChapelle directs music videos for selected artists such as Jennifer Lopez, Britney Spears, Avril Lavigne, No Doubt, Whitney Houston, Moby, Macy Gray, Blink 182, Elton John, Christina Aguilera ( "Dirrty") and The Vines. Was raised to lead the music video for "Sorry" from Madonna, but I raised with a touch of squalor like "Dirrty" and Madonna finally elected to another director to give a touch more optimistic.
