Con el fin de celebrar el Octavo Encuentro entre Artistas Hispánicos, Españoles, Portugueses e Iberoamericanos, residentes en ambos Estados Ibéricos, el Ayuntamiento de Huelva, a través del Área de Cultura, con la colaboración de la Asociación de Artistas Plásticos Onubenses "Enrique Montenegro" y la revista "El Punto de las Artes" de Madrid, convoca el 8º Encuentro de Artistas Hispánicos en Huelva y Certamen Iberoamericano de Pintura al Aire Libre "Enrique Montenegro" que se celebrará el día 5 de Julio de 2008 en la ciudad de Huelva y lugares relacionados con el Descubrimiento de América: Moguer, Palos de la Frontera y Monasterio de La Rábida, de acuerdo con las siguientes bases:
1º Podrán participar todos los artistas residentes en Portugal y España.
2º El soporte y la técnica serán libres. Las medidas no serán inferiores a 73x60 cms. ni superiores a 150x150 cms.
3º Los participantes llevarán consigo útiles y caballete. Se inscribirán en la Casa Colón, entre las 8:30 y las 10:30 horas de la mañana, donde se les asignará número y sellarán sus soportes, previa cumplimentación del boletín de inscripción.
4º La obra terminada, con el exclusivo tema de Huelva y Lugares Colombinos (paisajes, sitios, monumentos, etc.), se presentará, sin firma y con su caballete en la Casa Colón de Huelva, hasta las 19:00 horas.
5º Un jurado, compuesto por personalidades del mundo de las Bellas Artes y un representante del Área de Cultura del Ayuntamiento de Huelva, otorgará, entre las obras recibidas, los siguientes premios:
Premio Excmo. Ayuntamiento de Huelva, dotado con 1804 €
Premio "Enrique Montenegro" donado por El Punto de las Artes de Madrid, dotado con 1200€ y escultura de José Luis Fernández.
Premio Caja Rural del Sur, dotado con 752 €
Premio Cepsa, dotado con 601 €
Premio "Francisco Borja Rivera", donado por Victor Pulido, dotado con 500€
Premio concedido por la Asoc. de Artistas Plásticos Onubenses "Enrique Montenegro", consistente en surtido y caja doble especial de pinturas de la marca Titan.
A juicio del jurado. se concederán menciones honoríficas.
6º Las obras premiadas con dotación económica, pasarán a constituir una colección municipal a modo de crónica de Huelva y Lugares Colombinos en los comienzos del tercer milenio. El fallo del jurado, que será inapelable, se dará a conocer a las 20:00 horas del mismo día en la Casa Colón y seguidamente se entregarán los premios.
7º Con todas las obras presentadas a concurso, se celebrará una exposición en el Salón de Chimeneas de la Casa Colón, hasta las 21:00 horas, con expresa invitación al público en general. A partir de ese momento, podrán ser retiradas las obras por sus autores a excepción de las premiadas con dotación económica.
8º La participación en este concurso supone la plena aceptación del contenido de estas bases, así como la renuncia expresa a cualquier reclamación legal.

Award "Borja Francisco Rivera," donated by Victor Pulido, worth 500 €
Prize awarded by the Assoc. Artists Plastics Onubense "Enrique Montenegro", consisting of cash and double special assortment of paintings from the Titan brand.
In the opinion of the jury. will be awarded honorable mentions.
6 The award-winning works with economic strength, will constitute a municipal collection as a chronicle of Huelva and Places Columbian at the beginning of the third millennium. The judgement of the jury, which is final, will be announced at 20:00 pm the same day at the Casa Columbus and then receive their awards.
7 With all works submitted for the contest, an exhibition will be held in the Hall of the House of Chimneys Columbus, until 21:00 pm, with explicit invitation to the general public. Since then, may be withdrawn by its authors works except those awarded with funding.
8 Participation in this competition means full acceptance of the contents of these bases, as well as expressly waiving any legal claim.
